Introducing: Insulin Signaling

When high levels of glucose enter the blood stream, insulin is released by beta cells in the pancreas. Insulin then initiates a number of signal pathways in specific muscle and fat cells. This section will cover the signal pathway responsible for allowing those cells to rapidly increase their ability to uptake glucose from the blood stream.
