Introducing: Protein Trafficking (Golgi)

The Golgi apparatus is involved in the sorting and trafficking of proteins produced within a cell. Proteins translated within the rough endoplasmic reticulum are transferred to the Golgi. From there they are modified and packaged into vesicles for distribution. This section gives a brief overview of the mechanisms involved in this process.
